Standing under the sailing canoe, it is easy to imagine you are a fish looking up at the vessel from the seabed. Notice that at a focal length of 18mm, the chimney and walls curve inward at the top of the image. This isn't a criticism of the Sony 18-70mm kit lens, as most lenses will exhibit this type of distortion at 18mm. In this case, I actually think the distortion helps the photo, as the curving lines direct the viewer's eye to the main subject.
Note that Super Steady Shot was able to give a sharp image held held at 1/2 second.
