I'm not sure which era this muzzle loading flint-lock rifle is from, but it looked impressive hanging over the huge fireplace. This was on the lower-level. The upper area is exposed to the illumination from the skylights and multipane windows, but in this area the light is not as strong.
Using the Super Steady Shot capability of the Sony Alpha, I was still able to stop the lens down to get sufficient depth of field to cover the entire rifle and oak mantel.
