i found the 56AM on some website, (cant remember where, but they sold cameras) and it had it listed as discontinued on the site. Does anyone know if the f42 has all the features of the 56? I noticed that the 42 doesnt have an lcd on the back, but just lit numbers and settings. Also, i didnt seem to see a multi-flash setting on the back (i could be wrong, but it didnt look like there was a HZ setting or anything like that. if anyone from sony reads this, i think we want some asnwers.

The F56AM is 309 USD at Amazon as well. Another case of the street price being more reasonable than the list price.

B&H now sells the HVL-F56AM for USD 309,-. The new HVL-F42AM goes for 299,-. No question in my mind which one I would go for – the first!
