I'm bummed to see that Sony is going the translucent mirror route. I had been holding off on upgrading my a100 for a couple years, patiently waiting to see if Sony would come through with an a700 replacement that would meet my needs. For the most part, the a700 did what I needed, but I was really hoping for a bit faster fps in a new model. With nothing promising on the horizon from Sony, I made the switch to a Nikon D300 and a setup of lenses equivalent to my Minolta glass. Sony/Minolta will always mean something to me since it was what I started with, but I'm definitely glad I made the switch. I am still keeping my a-7 35mm camera, 50mm, and my beercan though in case I get all nostalgic and want to use it again.
