The conservatory features orchids in every shape and color. The Minolta 70-210 "beercan" lens was used here to obtain a colorful closeup. The Minolta beercan's famous smooth bokeh is evident in this photo.
I used a tripod for almost all the photos I shot in the conservatory. While I might have gotten away shooting hand-held, the tripod gave me razor sharp closeups. For this image, the lens was zoomed to 180mm.
