I swear I didn't notice that ugly hinge when I composed this image. In this intance, the Minolta 70-210, wide open at f/4, didn't soften the hinge sufficiently to make it unrecognizable. I guess this photo might work to contrast delicate flowers with ugly industrial metal, but that might be stretching things. I really like the soft tones in the petals, but that hinge is a jarring element.
