I am still hoping that SONY will produce a 15MP Full Frame Sensor digital camera, and have it be a throw back to the MAXXUM 7D, with the ergonomics, dials, switches and buttons that makes the 7D a photographer's dream camera.

I do not need 24.6 MP's, but 15 MP's FF would certainly make me, and many others, get very creative about finding the money for one. Come on SONY, you picked up the best techs in the world from Minolta. Give us what we are looking for. Don't worry about Canon or Nikon. Just do what you do, and do it really well. The sales will come.

[...] On the other hand, I’ve already compared Sony’s secrecy over their future dSLRs to the extreme cloaking of their future products used byApple Inc. Apple users have to read tea-leaves, put their ear against a railroad track and consult the magic-8 ball just to have any clue about Apple’s next plans. One sure-fire indication that Apple is brewing up something in the near future is that various products become out-of-stock at the Apple store. When they are ready to release some new exciting product, Apple will often allow the older products to become depleted, rather than building up a stockpile of merchandise that won’t sell as well when the new stuff appears.
I appreciate the acknowledgement of our efforts with the new Sony blog.

As noted, the blog does aim to cover a wide variety of topics related to Sony's electronics business in the U.S., so you can expect to see all sorts of topics covered in future posts.

That said, I and many others in the company, especially our Digital Imaging team, have been very impressed with the passion of those interested in the future direction of the D-SLR business and the Alpha platform.

Many thanks.
