Apple Hill Orchard and Cider Mill is located about 7.5 miles south of Morganton, NC. Take US40 to the Enola Road exit. (Exit 104), and head south. It is a pleasant 4 mile winding drive through the countryside on Enola Road. The orchard is only a short distance from Enola road and clearly marked.

Once at the orchard, you will have your choice of activities. The general store and cider mill provide a wealth of goodies and are worth the trip in themselves.

There are more than a dozen variety of apples grown in the orchard, although they are not all available at any one time. The earliest crop appears in July, with other varieties presenting themselves all the way through October. We chose early November for our visit and there were still plenty of healthy fruit available for picking.

Saturdays (in season) Orchard Hill offers tractor-pulled wagon tours through the orchard. Apple Hill is also available for field trips by area schools.
